As one of the ten community zones Mountain Harvest work with, Sipi is found on the most Northern slope of Mount Elgon and features over 60% women farmers. They have a woman-led VSLA (Village Savings and Loan Accounts) that is a hub of training in financial literacy, model farming, animal husbandry and bee keeping and the inspired Mountain Harvests Microfinance program (Started in 2022).
