JULIO BASTIDAS-NATURAL-COLOMBIA
A message from Julio Bastidas themselves:
I am Julio Bastidas, proud heir to Colombian coffee. My grandparents and parents taught me everything I know about coffee, and today I proudly represent them. For the past five years, I have been a member and representative of the Cedro Alto Collective. Through this initiative, I support various farmers throughout Colombia with the goal of ensuring that every coffee bean reaches every corner of the world where consumers value the effort and dedication of our work. For the first time, I am offering a lot of coffee from the San Isidro Labrador family farm, a project founded by my grandparents and uncles. Despite adversities such as the recent attack by land pirates on the way to the port, we managed to export this coffee. This lot was produced using a natural process, experimenting with bag/tank fermentations to achieve a cup profile with pronounced notes of ripe fruit. My short-term dream is to own a farm that will become my personal laboratory to continue exploring the wonderful flavors of coffee, as well as transform it into a small natural paradise in the land where I was born.
While we mostly have questions about the battle with land pirates we sure are glad that they managed to get this coffee past them as it is so delicious!
